This group introduced the boxer dog breed to me. A great breed of dog! On 03-01-2010, my baby Hooch was laid to rest. Howevever, thru this group I have taken in 20-plus boxers in need. All survive in great homes, and with Hooch I suppose God saw a better place for him. He had a blood clot in his brain, and slowly it took over. I can’t see why God or anyone would want to take my best friend from me, but that’s not for me to question. I can only thank you all here for helping me understand and help this breed of dog, and giving me the honor of sharing such a fulfilled life with one great dog, Hooch! I will never belong to another boxer, not like my Hooch. I’m one of the real dog lovers, and I will always dedicate my life to rescue boxers.

Boxer Puppy With Mange

I got a rescue boxer puppy from someone who got her off of craigslist.
She came with horrible mange and was really skinny. The lady decided
she didn’t want to keep her (didn’t have the money) so I got her. We
named her Smeagol because she looked so bad. After almost 6 months of
doctoring her through mange the vet said she is mite free!!!! I feel
like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders.

Boxer Dogs Love To Socialize

The vet believes the bee stung our boxer and he was allergic. Rup has broken out into the hives and welts on 3 other occassions in his ripe 2 1/2 years (HAHA), but this last one was the most severe. Our vet told us b/c of his weight to give him 6 Benedryls and that didn’t help. I will have to see if I have the pics so I can post them. He looked awful! The other times we have no idea what caused it. Our yard is small and the only shrub we have in there is a little evergreen (the Boxer destroys any plants we put in there) so we don’t know what he got into.

Yup, these dogs are clowns alright! Rup has destroyed a lot of things in our house, but we love him and he makes me laugh all of the time. He is the best with the rescue dogs and we always end up with hyper fosters all because of him. In the beginning he is a bit rough but they all migrate to him b/c he LOVES to play and socialize.

I can’t believe your Boxer used to follow you around like that! That is LOVE and LOYALTY 100%! They are so funny and such characters aren’t they? We have a veterinarian appointment set for 9-11-2010.
